The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a good option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.
In tests, it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to help you map your home.
1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, such as an area for dirt that is built into the charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules for a truly hands-free experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of a button. You can select a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or go for two detailed maps of your area to ensure that your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.
This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot claims that future models will be better.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features an advanced filtration system, which prevents tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price tag.
Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on higher-end models. And its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than the vibrating pads.
The only drawback is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's an affordable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you have maximum dirt.
In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch TV without being distracted. If it comes into contact with a wall or furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and moves forward.
What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is not right like low water levels or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.
You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo treats your abode. This is a great feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's items that need to be cleaned out regularly, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can also vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.
The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a set path.
The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as the ones we've seen on an ordinary robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum that comes with a host of convenience features that you don't often see on robots at this price. It can create detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. But while these functions are nice to have but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category, which might make it slightly more expensive than what some homeowners require.
Created to resemble a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's enhanced by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your house. This helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with children or pets.
The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4% of debris from read more our test on the hard floor and taking out all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as efficient in dealing with sand on the hard floor and quaker oats on the carpet.
